While some may disagree, the creation process of ethically made pronography is art. To silence art and its creators is not something that I agree with. The creators of CSAM obviously need to be arrested, but ethically created art should not be a part of the process of stopping that, if we are to preserve free speech.
People will always find a way around laws, like how drugs are illegal, yet people still find ways to get them. That doesn’t mean outlawing it is worthless. It is still important to create legislation that pushes people to flourish and not do degrade. Porn degrades people due to the many reasons I previously cited above.
Because needing to use a VPN is still a deterrent. It’s harder to do that than it is to access it without a VPN. That’s the definition of a deterrent. Plus, what we were going after is the source, not individual users. If we can eliminate the source, then whether or not people use a VPN is irrelevant.
Instead of banning VPNs we can just force any porn site that wants to operate in the US to feature some sort of she verification
Not blocking VPN’s but forcing VPN companies to not allow users on Porn websites. VPN’s know your address so they know which country you’re in. All VPN companies need to do is make sure you can’t access Pornography websites which would be a very simple endeavor. Schools across the United States can block students from certain websites so I’m confident that major VPN companies will be able to stop its users from accessing Porn.
