  • We will not fully rule that out if it becomes necessary. The fact is there are many unknowns at this time, so our best bet is to tighten security as best we can, while investigating to the fullest extent of our abilities. Pursuing greater action risks potential escalation with Islamist countries and governments, potentially leading to greater threats.

  • It would be easy for many to blame HAMAS for this attack given past conflict with the state of Israel, but doing so without proof could further escalate the ongoing conflict of Israel and Palestine which would not be good for either side. Taking from the American legal system, innocent until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt is the best way to go about this situation and our best hope to both find any and all who were involved in the attack, and not escalate ongoing conflicts or antagonize an unaffiliated third party.

  • Precisely. There is no evidence of foreign external interference yet. But as there are countries that war in this part of the world, they may be some bad actors who try to use this to drum up motivation against a specific party. But if there are multiple parties involved in the investigations, the investigators will not be able to blindly focus on one parties agenda.

  • The best way is to test every control me as it was used that day. (EG weapons screening, cockpit security vulnerabilities)

  • If Netanyahu planned the terrorist to occur to claim the threat of terrorism to postpone the October 27th election, which he would otherwise lose, then it would be true that the attack signifies, not the Islamic threat (not to say that there isn't a threat), but that there is a power struggle in Israel starting with a corrupt leader who hopes to remain in power by any means necessary. In that regard, the Islamist threat is not minimized per se, but not emphasized in the attack. The attack instead exemplifies Netanyahu's attempt to remain as the Prime Minister of the state of Israel, which may be equally as dangerous.

  • This may be a possibility; however, the precautionary measures of containment outweigh the benefits of valuable public tips. The public may act without a well informed explanation of the situation.

  • Again we have the evidence and we have been told that the intelligence agencies of Saudi Arabia have been told by the co pilot that he was doing it because Islam

  • There is no link pointing to a terror attack but there also isn’t a link that points to some other explanation. I think it is better to be safe than sorry and take necessary precautions to prevent problematic pilots from entering cockpits of planes. With tensions constantly on the rise between Israel and Iran it is reasonable for citizens and Israel to assume it was a terrorist attack. Until the investigators can confidently determine whether it was a terrorist attack I think Israel should take every necessary precaution to keep their citizens safe.
